Soul Train Awards 2010

This the 2010 edition of the Soul Train Awards, which took place at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta.  My aim was to make the set look big for a limited budget.  This was the debut of the Web Wall, our new module that will be available soon for rental from Atomic Rental.  It was a pleasure to work with Bart Phillips and Sunseeker media who produced the event for Centric and BET once again and I’m indebted to Bart for his support and his vision in seeing the possibilities of the design.  The remit was to “Make it as big as last year” and “to get the action into the house”.  And I think we succeeded!  With limited set elements I managed to fill the space and provide a bit of grandeur.  The 70’s and 80’s definitely influenced this design, but they way fashion works it all seems new again.  The excellent lighting by Otis Howard, and Fatima Robinson’s dynamic choreography made this an event to remember!
